SHYFT - Iowa

SHYFT and DEV Partners collaborated on the historic preservation and renovation of The Concord. Originally constructed in 1919, The Concord development is comprised of two buildings – the Concord Apartments, a five-story multi-family property housing 42 efficiency apartments, and the Concord Commercial, a two-story mixed-use property. The commercial property was originally built to serve the residents of the rapidly growing neighborhood, serving as a bakery and grocery for much of its history before becoming mostly vacant in recent decades. The space is now home to SHYFT - Iowa and Dev Partners. The interior design pulls in modern touches while highlighting the bulding's historic features such as exposed brick and beams.
