SHYFT Office - Ohio

The SHYFT Columbus team began by working out of our clients’ spaces and a temporary office, but as we grew, we knew that a space of our own was necessary. We found a historic building in the heart of downtown Columbus with great details. As a collaborative group, with team members at various levels of working in this space, we knew that an open, flexible floor plan was necessary. While there are some permanent workstations, we also allowed for a variety of touch-down spaces: hoteling spots, a harvest gathering table, and private huddle and meeting rooms. Our goal was to design a rich, modern, yet simple space that paid homage to the brick and exposed timber structure of the building. The neutral building materials allow for those details to shine while giving us the flexibility to highlight current design aesthetics.
